Ο Soloup είναι πολιτικός γελοιογράφος και δημιουργός κόμικς. Είναι διδάκτωρ του τμήματος Πολιτισμικής Τεχνολογίας και Επικοινωνίας του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου και έχει σπουδάσει Πολιτικές επιστήμες στο Πάντειο. Μέχρι σήμερα έχουν κυκλοφορήσει 14 άλμπουμ με γελοιογραφίες και κόμικς του, η μελέτη «Τα Ελληνικά Κόμικς» (Τόπος). Το πρώτο του graphic novel «Αϊβαλί» (Κέδρος) έχει βραβευτεί ως «Καλύτερο κόμικς 2015» και «Καλύτερο Σενάριο» στα Ελληνικά Βραβεία Κόμικς και με το “Coup de Coeur 2016” στο 17ο φεστιβάλ Rendez-vous du Carnet De Voyage (Clermont Ferrand/ France) ενώ έχει μεταφραστεί στα Γαλλικά (Steinkis), τα Τουρκικά (Istos), τα Αγγλικά (Somerset Hall Press) ενώ έχει προγραμματιστεί και η Ισπανική έκδοση. Το δεύτερο graphic novel του «Ο Συλλέκτης: έξι διηγήματα για έναν κακό λύκο» κυκλοφόρησε το 2018 (Ικαρος). Αυτό το διάστημα εργάζεται πάνω στο καινούργιο του graphic novel σχετικά με την επανάσταση του 1821.
Soloup (Antonis Nikolopoulos) is a cartoonist who collaborates with newspapers and magazines in Greece. He studied Political Sciences at the Panteion University and obtained a PhD (on Cultural Technology and Communication) by the University of the Aegean. He has published 14 books with comics and cartoons and his thesis on History of comics in Greece (The Greek Comics, Topos editions). His first graphic novel “Aivali” received the prize of the best comics and best scenario in 2015 Comicdom Athens and the “Coup de Coeur 2016” prize at the 17th “Rendez-vous du Carnet De Voyage Festival” (Clermont Ferrand/ France). It has been translated in French (Steinkis), Turkish (Istos), English (Somerset Hall Press) and a Spanish translation is to follow. His second graphic novel “The collector. Six short Stories about a Bad Wolf” was published in 2018 (Icaros editions). At that moment he is working on a new graphic novel about the Greek War of independence / 1821
